After his mother dies, Charlie Stockton visits Real Books to sell his family’s book collection and discovers Jenny Rogers. They went to the same high school in the town of Springfield twenty years earlier. Charlie moved away and became a successful entrepreneur. Jenny stayed to run her parents’ failing bookstore after her father died. Charlie had a crush on Jenny in high school but was too shy to speak to her back then. When they meet in the bookstore, he asks her about a fairy tale story she wrote but she does not recall it. As they work together to catalog the book collection, Charlie’s old love is rekindled. Jenny finds new love. But other people in their lives complicate things. They finally admit their feelings and uncover the real meaning of the words ‘happily ever after.’
